This is the only Tandem Triathlon organised in the UK, now in its 24th year, and organised by Shropshire Council Sports & Leisure and the local community of Bishops Castle.

The distances are as follows: 1km swim by one rider followed by 30km tandem ride. The other rider then runs 10km cross country and a final 5km tandem ride return together.

Spaces for the Tandem Triathlon are limited to 140 teams and all who finish receive their own polo shirts - the course record was not broken as it was in 2005.

PLEASE NOTE YOU NEED A TANDEM TO ENTER. THERE ARE A LIMITED NUMBER OF TANDEMS AVAILABLE FROM THE TANDEM EXPERIENCE AT A COST OF £50 PER TANDEM COLLECTED FROM THE TANDEM HUB ON THE DAY.
