| The Tandem Triathlon |
 The 2010 Bishops Castle Tandem Triathlon will take place on the 3rd of July 2010. Click here to book your place in this year's Tandem Triathlon and Festival. Sign up for our newsletter, become a fan of our facebook page and join the Tandem Triathlon on Facebook to be kept in touch with announcements about the Triathlon and the Tandem Experience Festival. This is the only Tandem Triathlon organised in the UK, now in its 24th year, and organised jointly by Shropshire Council Sports & Leisure and the local community of Bishops Castle in Shropshire. The Tandem Triathlon starts with one partner doing a 1km swim at the Leisure Centre followed by a 30km Tandem ride round the roads of Clun and Lydbury North. The partner then completes a 10km cross-country run through Colstey Wood before a final 5km Tandem ride back to finish at the Leisure Centre. Spaces for the Tandem Triathlon are limited to 140 teams. Minimum age on the day of the event is strictly 15 years. For those under 15 wishing to take part in the Junior Triathlon, click here  Participation is key to this FUN adult event, but with an element of competition adding to the spirit of the day. Prizes are also on offer for various categories and ages, a drink in each of the 6-Public Houses on route as well as for the best Fancy Dress tandem and riders.
