Traditionally the fifth anniversary is celebrated with wood and the 25th with silver but we're celebrating with a host of new events.

The programme this year includes the Silver Jubilee Double Triathlon and the Try Tandeming events. These are in addition to the usual Tandem triathlon, social rides and Tandemania.

The conventional tandem triathlon features one rider swimming and their partner running. In the Silver Jubilee Double, both riders compete in the swimming and running segments.

The Try Tandeming event aims to encourage more people to consider taking part in the Tandem Triathlon. This year they can benefit from some training and skills development and get a voucher redeemable against next year's Triathlon entry fee.

The Festival starts on Thursday 1st July and wraps up on Sunday 4th July with the annual Tandemania competition.

If you're interested in cycling, it's the greatest event of the year and the only one of its kind.
