Tandem Racks from the Tandem Experience & Tandem Shop

Our super 9 models of Tandem racks designed and manufactured in the UK to carry your beloved Tandem on all types of rack/roof bars are now launched, manufactured from Stainless Steel and available in models to suit all needs. 6 models of the Tandem racks * can be fitted with mudguards or front racks fitted.

The Tandem racks are secured by Stainless M8 bolts onto the T-Track of the roof bars and can be fitted and removed (once initially fitted) in less than a minute, making ideal for alternative uses for the roof rack and can be used in conjunction with other bike carriers.

The rear wheel and the frame are additionally secured using a massive 50mm Velcro strap buckle that ensures your Tandem does not move in transit.

The Upright is supplied with a waterproof closed cell foam strip to protect your Tandem from paint damage and again secured to the Tandem rack with Stainless M8 bolts, also supplied with a 50mm Velcro strap for additional security.

Supplied with a Park Tool P-Handled Hex Wrench for easy fit and a brake wedge (for hydraulic brakes) if required.

The Tandem Rack models are as follows:

• Model 100/9* – For Q/R axle, designed to fit T-Track roof bars like Thule, Altera etc..
• Model 100/15* – For 100mm – 15mm Thru axle, designed to fit T-Track roof bars like Thule, Altera etc..
• Model 110/15* – For Boost Thru axle, designed to fit T-Track roof bars like Thule, Altera etc..
• Model Swivel 100/9*, 100/15* & 110/15* – These three Tandem racks are designed for high roof vehicles and this allows the front fork to be secured and then swivelled into position onto the rear wheel support, designed to fit T-Track roof bars like Thule, Altera etc. NOT AVAILABLE TILL EARLY 2021
• Model Transporter/Tow Bar 100/9, 100/15 & 110/15 – These three Tandem racks are designed to fit onto VW Transporter bike racks or for the Tow Bar in conjunction with a Thule Easybase and a Thule Bike Arm Short/Long (w/o lock) purchased as a spare part numbers (1500052415/1500052414) circa £300.

both will require some modifications to the bike rack. Designed also for mudguards and carriers to be removed as both wheels are removed to fit the Tandem to the rack. The Rear Spacing on all models are available for 135/145mm on Q/R or 142mm on 12mm Thru axle.
