Our Landescape aluminium Tandems began life in 2002 and are beautifully hand-made. If you think you know aluminium frames then think again!  Our high-quality Landescape Tandems are manufactured from tubing specifically made and drawn for Tandems. We use 7020T6 with a wall thickness of 1.8mm at the joints and butted to 1.4mm in the centre of the tubes.  The post-weld strength of 7020T6 is greater and therefore gives a stronger, lighter frame than less expensive frames made from cheaper materials and sourced from the Far East. The material we use, its butting and its lightness make for a stiffer frame with better power efficiency and handling but not at the expense of comfort.

With lightness and strength hand-in-hand, the standard offering of all our Landescape Tandems is that they are built in custom sizes and in the Direct Lateral Design. You can be assured that we are able to build your Tandem to suit your exact needs. What frame size do we need?

A common question and one that we do take seriously as it makes the difference when riding a Tandem safely and for long term enjoyment.

How do we work this out? 

All of our Landescape Tandems are built as a custom frame which simply means

• Your sizes taken into account via our virtual data sizing forms or,
• A visit to us at our store to be sized on our Calfee Sizer.
• From this data we will draw your Tandem in our TandemCAD and supply this to you in a PDF format.
• The TandemCAD is used in the production of your Landescape Tandem by our factory and by ourselves when assembling the Tandem.
• We will take into account current riding styles and advise accordingly for Tandem riding.

We charge to produce a TandemCAD for you that is refundable once the Tandem is placed on order. Click below if you wish to go through this process.
